Bite of the Blood Clan – Part Three
You can see them in the distance coming toward your clan, the smell of grave soil thick in the air, as your waiting for Desari to give the signal to attack, you notice Zamen is glowing a bright purple as he fades from sight.
“Alright my brother’s and sister’s, tonight we feast on our enemies!” Desari roars.
Desari then charges at the oncoming necromancers, you and the rest of the clan right behind him. Just before he reaches the necromancers, now right in front, arms and hands shoot out of the ground grabbing anything they can reach. You jump over a pair of hands and kick at a head coming out of the ground, severing it from its already decayed body. As five necromancers charge a fireball and launch it at the clan, you quickly slash at the inferno with Mageseal dispersing it immediately.
“Well done, how did you know that would work?” Desari shouts, a look of awe in his eyes.
“I didn’t, but I had to do something though right?” you say, as you slash a necromancers arm off then impale him with your other sword.
You see Desari jump in the middle of the five necromancers that had sent the fireball at you and hear him shout, “Hit me with your best shots!” The necromancers, with a look of terror on their faces, send several freeze spells at him. None of the attacks stayed on their target though; they were redirected back at the necromancers, freezing them instantly, as two vampiric Orcs shattered their frozen corpses. Just ahead you see two of your kin getting stabbed in the heart, then torn limb from limb by a necromancer surrounded by a swarm of zombies. You then drop Mageseal and charge your strongest fire spell, when suddenly a zombie lunges at you. That’s when you release the towering inferno at the lone zombie and the necromancer, as well as the swarm surrounding her, setting them ablaze almost instantly.
The smell of burning flesh wafted around the battle field; the screams of necromancers and vampire alike were all around you, stray fireballs and whirling arrows passed by you in every direction. As you scan the battle field you notice to the right of you three vampires gorging on a necromancer, to the left five of your brethren being scorched by a group of eight necromancers.
“Desari!! This isn’t looking good for us!” you shout, a slight tremble in your voice.
“I agree, take this and tell the others to retreat, you are the clan’s leader now,” he says, slashing furiously at a nearby necromancer.
“I have a plan, one that will win this fight once and for all,” you say, not quite sure of yourself. “Tell the others to fall back and wait for my signal.”
You then charge at the eight necromancers getting their attention. You see that Desari and the rest of the clan are retreating, concerned looks on their faces. You know that if your plan works everything will change in your favor. That’s when you look directly at the necromancers, three more joining them, shouting, “You and I shall meet again in hell!!!”
***************
You remember a time when you were growing up at the monastery. The head monk had just given you Mageseal, telling you that it would aid you in slaying the wicked. “This blade is special; if you release its true power you had better be ready to lose part of yourself with it, young Redguard,” he had told you, handing you a magicka infused crystal.
“But what do you mean lose part of myself with it, Master,” you asked, eyeing the blade.
“Someday you will find out, young one, someday…”

The necromancers were all charging a powerful lightning spell, the magicka infusing with the others around it. You pull out the crystal given to you by the head monk, feeling both it and your sword vibrating. You knew this was your only chance to forever silence you and the necromancers, when you remember that you still had Desari’s amulet. As the necromancers fire the over powered spell you strike Mageseal with the crystal, a wave of blue light striking the lightning, dispersing it instantaneously and surround the necromancers and yourself. You feel yourself becoming purged of all your magicka, when suddenly you overflow with energy as the amulet begins to glow, repelling the blue light. You notice that the necromancers are all veiled in a blue aura and know they no longer have the ability to use magic. You drop Mageseal, fire beginning to swirl in your hands, and say, “Looks like you’re all no longer a threat, so either leave now or die.”
The necromancers quickly turn around and run, fearing for their lives and swearing vengeance on you. One still remained though, no sign that the blue aura was surrounding him. He was a Breton, wearing a black robe with a skull on it, a black soul gem around his neck.
“This gem shall hold your soul for eternity, Redguard,” the Breton says, rage flaring on his face.
“That’s funny, since your all that’s left, Breton,” you say, a grin wide on your face now.
He suddenly begins to glow the same purple that Zamen had before vanishing. Knowing he would soon teleport you thrust your blade in his gut, the purple glow starts dimming, and you realize that he had no more magicka left. He looks at you with fear in his eyes, that’s when you pick up Mageseal and slit his throat, drinking the blood as it spewed out.
Desari and the rest of the clan had met up with you, cheering and applauding that you had forever silenced the necromancers.
You hand Desari back his amulet, but he pushes it back to you.
“You’re now our leader, Hero of Solitude,” Desari says, a smile wide on his face. “Now let’s go home, I’m full,” he says chuckling.
“I’m not your leader, I helped with the war, now I’m going my own way,” you say, with sorrow in your voice. “But rest assured that I will visit again.” Heading toward the city of Solitude you notice it’s almost sun rise, turning around you say, “Well one more night couldn’t hurt.”
